About Me

I'm a Junior Computer Science student at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. I have a wonderful fiancée, Joelle, who I adore. We're getting married in July of next year and I'm very excited about it! My interests center around computer related topics with an emphasis on web technologies and networking. For more, see my About Me page.

18 September 2007 - 7:09pmThe wonders of Emacs

I was using emacs in class today and I thought to myself wouldn’t it be nice if I knew how to copy and paste in emacs? I also knew from prior experimentation that it was possible to have multiple files open at once within emacs and to have them paned to be easily viewable at the same time. So I did a quick search on Google and was presented with this webpage, a quick reference for all things emacs, which seems to have been put together by a computer science professor from Williams College. This was exactly what I was looking for so I thought I’d post it here for the masses (which at this point is basically myself).

Now maybe I can keep up with Tino when he whips through a 200 line program in C like its the easiest thing he’s ever seen… and he’s using vi.
